Comfortable Jungle
and Beachfront Lodging
THE TENTS
Facing the ocean, backed by the jungle…this
is as close to nature as real comfort
will allow. Tarp-roofed shelters keep
your tent cool and dry, and an elevated
wooden palette gets you well off the
ground while affording a spacious front
porch for a couple of armchairs. Outfitted
with full-size beds, bedding and night
tables; each tent is strategically positioned
to provide privacy and a spectacular
Pacific view. Whether taking in the
sunset over a cool drink on your own
verandah, or screened in at night listening
to the sounds of the jungle, you will
find your Corcovado Adventures tent
surprisingly comfortable. We give new
meaning to the idea of roughing it.
THE KITCHEN &
DINING HALL
Individual trails lead from each tent
to the gathering area, a "rancho"
that serves as a dining hall and a place
to meet for adventure planning sessions,
afternoon coffee, reading, or simply
a snooze in a hammock. Meals are served
family style at long wooden tables.
THE FOOD
Our kitchen serves three meals a day
and offers a truly international cuisine,
ranging from typical Costa Rican cuisine,
to fresh catch-of-the-day, to spicy
bar-b-que. Fresh salads, plenty of vegetables,
rice and beans complement the chef's
main course; and we blend tropical fruit
drinks for every meal. Chicken and meat
dishes are also prepared for variety.
Our chef will surprise you with exotic
appetizers such as fresh ceviche, sushi
or sashimi. With prior request, we'll
gladly prepare special menus.
THE BATHOUSE
Communal bathhouses are located on a
rise behind the dining hall, connected
by paved paths. Roomy showers and changing
areas are clean and comfortable with
a separate area devoted to laundry.
A mountain spring nearby provides plenty
of refreshing water.
