Sirena Biological Station is the most remote entrance to Corcovado National Park. It is located in the middle of the National Park, in the middle of the endless jungle and on the shores of the sea, between the mouths of the Rivers Sirena and Rio Claro or Blanco. The access to Sirena is by boat from Bahia Drake, which lasts approximately 1 hour, or, walking from another entrance to the National Park called Los Patos, which is in the center of the Osa Peninsula, entering at Rincon de Osa. This tour, from Los Patos to La Sirena and then from Sirena to Carate, is highly appreciated by those who like long trekking tours. The other way to get there is by boat from Drake, which lasts 1 hour. This option is included in several packages. One of the main attractions of Sirena is the sighting of flora and fauna, in which it is the best point of the park. In Rio you can see crocodiles, Toro sharks, and in the jungle three types of monkeys, Tapirs, ocelots, birds, and hundreds of species of mammals, reptiles, insects, amphibians. Mermaid really is the epitome of a magical place of jungles and sea in the middle of the extensive Osa Peninsula.
