Scuba Diving

Isla del Caño is the best place to dive in Costa Rica, next to the Islas Murciélago in the province of Guanacaste and the famous Isla del Coco, a 2-day trip from the coast. Visibility on the Island can reach up to 90 feet on a good day, and since the island is protected by law, marine life is abundant and diverse. You can see different species of sharks, such as the white reef shark, the nurse shark, blankets, eels, sea turtles feeding, and hundreds of coral fish, some extremely colorful.

During some seasons of the year, you can also see bull sharks, humpback whales, dolphins and big moray eels, some of them 2 meters long. The 2 tank tour lasts approximately 6 hours, leaving at 6 AM and returning around 1 PM. The tour includes: Equipment rental, 2 dives, PADI instructor, lunch, transportation to and from Drake Bay, tickets and permits to dive around the Island.
