Bull Sharks in Corcovado

Bull Sharks are among the most dangerous species in the world. The short ( 9 feet ) but very muscular shark is well known to be very curious and for having caused several accidents in several places of the world. Thee shark is also well know for getting very close to the shores, patrolling the beaches, the rivers, estuaries and oceanic lagoons in search of food.

In Corcovado, there are quite good chances to see the Bull Sharks at Sirena Ranger Station. Especially during the Lowe Tide, visitors might see the fins swimming up and down the river and ocean in search of prey. The amazing spectacle also includes large crocodiles, since Bull Sharks and Crocodiles share that same habitat.
