Isla Violin

The Isla Violin Island is a peninsula-islands located on the shores of the Pacific, where the mighty Sierpe River meets the ocean. The island is covered by lush tropical rainforest, with abundant creeks, some trails and abrupt topography. It is a great place for wildlife observation. During the gold mining days ( 70 – 80`s ) the largest Gold Nugget was found on the island ( 7 Kilograms ). The piece is currently displayed in the National Gold Museum.

Although it is not part of our packages, if you are really interested in visiting the island, we can organize a custom designed private tour by boat in order to visit the island. It is not open to public all year around .
