Gold Washing Tour

Live the experience of looking for gold in an artisanal way in local gold mines. The technique used is artisanal washing, where the technique used by the locals is used. First there is a substrate of earth and sand, which is then washed in a metal dish. With a technique of turning the sand on the plate, thanks to the flow of water, the gold will be located in the center of the plate, while the sand and residual earth comes out from the edges of the plate.

The tour takes place every day. The gold found can buy it. Normally what is found is gold sand, but some occasional Gold Nuggets can come out. It is a very interesting and educational tour. The search for gold was and still is, an iconic micro industry in the entire Osa Peninsula, which is known for the large amount of gold that is found.
